Ulrich Hueppe
South Milwaukee - Ulrich “Oly” Hueppe, age 65, a son and brother, departed his earthly home to his new heavenly home on Thursday, July 18, 2024, surrounded by his family.
Leaving behind a void that will be filled with cherished memories and lessons. Oly is preceded in death by his father, Klaus Hueppe and leaves behind his mother, Eva Hueppe; his twin sister, Martina Earney (Greg); sister and housemate, Andrea Hueppe; brother, Frank (Jung-Nan aka Ronnie); loving uncle to Matthew, Nicholas, Erica, Stephanie, Amy and Max; great uncle to Amara, Mason, Lilah, Penelope, Kennedy and Harrison. Oly also leaves behind cherished cousins, aunts, and uncles in the U.S. and Germany.
Oly was a proud veteran. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy as a hook runner on the USS Lexington CV16 stationed in Pensacola, Florida. His service to his nation was a testament to his character and dedication. Oly was retired but loved his part time work for Milwaukee County along the south shore of the Lake Michigan parks.
Oly loved spending time with friends at Spirits Bar in South Milwaukee where he enjoyed sharing stories, jokes and laughter. He was famous for his “Oly”isms and bug-a-boos. His passion was building models and he loved aviation of all sorts. A true Wisconsinite, Oly was an avid fan of NASCAR and the Green Bay Packers. His love for the team was unmatched, and he never missed a game.
Family was at the core of Oly’s life. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, creating memories that will be treasured forever. He found joy in the simplest moments, whether it was a family gathering or a quiet evening at home.
Oly fought a valiant battle against an illness, and though he may have lost the fight, his courage and grace will forever be an inspiration. May he rest in peace and may we continue to celebrate his life.
